  19.   1) Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups
  20.   2) 386 or higher processor
  21.   3) Mouse or other pointing device (recommended)
  22.   4) Color monitor - High SVGA resolution (recommended)
  23. * 5) VBRUN300.DLL - Microcoft Run-time library file
  24. * 6) THREED.VBX   - 3D Custom control

  26. * This program requires a copy of the files "VBRUN300.DLL"
  27. and "THREED.VBX". They should reside in your path and can
  28. usually be found in the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. If you
  29. do not have these files installed your computer, they  are
  30. widely available and can be downloaded from almost any
  31. bulletin board or from CompuServe.

  34. 2 - Installation
  35. -----------------------------------------------------------
  36. If you received this version of U-Convert-It on a floppy
  37. disk, insert the disk into a floppy drive. Then...
  38.    1) Launch Windows if it's not already running.
  39.    2) From the Windows Program Manager, select Run from the
  40.       File Menu.
  41.    3) Type 'A:SETUP' (no quotes) at the command line and 
  42.       press [ENTER].
  43.    4) Follow the instructions on the screen to enter the 
  44.       directory in which to install U-Convert-It.
  45.    5) Select the Continue button.
  46.    6) A dialog box will appear informing you when 
  47.       installation is complete.

  49. If you received this version of U-Convert-It in a ZIP file,
  50. extract the files to a blank floppy, then insert the
  51. disk into a floppy drive. Follow instructions 1 through 6
  52. shown above to complete the installation.

  57. The U-Convert-It v1.20 shareware package consists of the 
  58. following files:

  60. * UCONVERT.EXE  U-Convert-It program executable.
  61.   UCONVERT.HLP    U-Convert-It help file in the Windows help

  63.   README.TXT    Introductory and General information.
  64.   ORDER.TXT    ASCII form for ordering / registering
  65.   LICENSE.TXT   License agreement / warranty disclaimer.
  66.   FILE_ID.DIZ   Description file for bulletin boards.
  67.   UCONVERT.ZIP    Shareware Evaluation Version / U-Convert-It
  68.         (Share this 'ZIP' file with others, please
  69.          read the text that follows! This file is
  70.                  only included with registered version.)

  80. Some files are distributed with an underscore character
  81. at the end of the filename.  The underscore is replaced
  82. with the appropriate character by the SETUP program.
  83. As an example... UCONVERT.EX_ will become UCONVERT.EXE.

  85. U-Convert-It is distributed as Shareware.  This means that
  86. users are encouraged, subject to restrictions described in
  87. the License Agreement, to share copies of this program with
  88. friends, associates and bulletin boards. Included on the
  89. installation disk is a copy of UCONVERT.ZIP for this
  90. purpose. You may freely copy and distribute this file as
  91. mentioned above. Alternately, if you downloaded this copy
  92. of U-Convert-It from an online service such as CompuServe
  93. or a bulletin board, that same file may also be freely
  94. distributed as stated above.

  104. For full documentation, including context sensitive help,
  105. press the F1 key at any time while running U-Convert-It.

  108. 5 - Upgrade Instructions
  109. -----------------------------------------------------------
  110. Follow the installation instructions above.  You can install
  111. this version of U-Convert-It to the same location as a 
  112. previously installed copy of U-Convert-It. If you're already
  113. a registered user, you will not need to re-register the
  114. upgrade. U-Convert-It does it for you automatically!

  117. 6 - Shareware Information
  118. -----------------------------------------------------------
  119. U-Convert-It is a "shareware program" and is provided at no
  120. charge to the user for evaluation.  Feel free to share it 
  121. with your friends, but please do not give it away altered 
  122. or as part of another system.  The essence of
  123. "user-supported" software is to provide personal computer 
  124. users with quality software without high prices, and yet to
  125. provide incentive for programmers to continue to develop 
  126. new products. If you find this program useful and find that
  127. you are using U-Convert-It and continue to use U-Convert-It
  128. after a 30 day trial period, you must make a registration 
  129. payment of $15 to Fred Block as described in the 
  130. Copyright/License/Warranty Agreement file (LICENSE.TXT).
  131. The $15 registration fee will license one copy for use on
  132. any one computer at any one time. You must treat this
  133. software just like a book. An example is that this software
  134. may be used by any number of people and may be freely moved
  135. from one computer location to another, so long as there is
  136. no possibility of it being used at one location while it's
  137. being used at another. Just as a book cannot be read by two
  138. different persons at the same time. Commercial users of
  139. U-Convert-It must register and pay for their copies of
  140. U-Convert-It within 30 days of first use or their license
  141. is withdrawn. Site-License arrangements may be made by
  142. contacting Fred Block.
